Youth Training Strings is for string players working between Grade 3-5 standard.

Young people will benefit from regular tutor led rehearsals, looking at music from a wide range of genres, ready for performance at the end of each term.

We are an inclusive group who have lots of fun whilst developing the musicianship skills required to perform as part of an ensemble. Young people will be able to gain friendships and develop social links with like-minded people and a diverse range of peers, therefore encouraging ‘stickability’. Group members will have the opportunity to develop music skills learnt in lessons (individual/small group and whole class) in a string orchestra and share these skills in a variety of performances throughout the year.
