The new National Plan for Music Education (NPME2) recommends that each school should have their own Music Development Plan, setting out how they aim to deliver high-quality music provision for all pupils.
This half-day session will allow music co-ordinators to evaluate their current provision, develop an overall vision and then document how to get there. Evaluation tools and form templates will be provided.

Music Development Review and Assessment Group Feedback
Following on from our sessions on Writing Your Music Development Plan, this whole day session will give Music Coordinators and Senior Leaders the chance to review their goals from their Music Development Plans. If you are new to writing a Music Development Plan, there will be the opportunity to break out of the main session to discuss writing one from scratch.
Over the course of the academic year (2023/2024), we have met with nine music coordinators, three each from Newcastle, Sunderland and North Tyneside, to discuss Assessment in Primary Music. Our focus group will be presenting their findings.
